Toilets. Newnham 2. Light vehicles only

Near where I live is a village called Littledean. At the southeast end of the village is a mini-roundabout. One direction leads to Newnham, and also to some public toilets. It’s always tickled my fancy that the sign mentions the toilets first, and only then goes on to give Newnham some credit. So the last time we drove through, I asked Fiona to take a photo of it. How Europcar stole £22.08 from me (and why you shouldn’t rent from them)

I mentioned last year that, living in rural England, I often find it useful to drive a hire car home from airports, and that Europcar had been my favoured option. But now they’ve stolen £22.08 from me, so I’ll have to find a different car-rental company to use.

What I’ve been reading lately, part 8

Summer came, and I started to read a lot more books. But my diet became quite limited, because at any given moment while lying in the sun, it was more appealing to read another Agatha Christie or Terry Pratchett than to launch into something less comfortingly familiar. As a result, those two authors will dominate this installment, and I won’t have that much to say about some of the books. Wow, I really know how to sell a blog-post, don’t I?
